Sugar Bowl - Challenge 74

Wow I can hardly believe it, 2 posts in a week!
Now this one is completely different for me. No pink or sparkles in sight! But she is still gorgeous, I hope you'll agree :-)

The image is a Sugar Nellie stamp called Strike A Pose. I've coloured her with my ProMarkers. This time I've tried doing her hair blond and its turned out really well if I do say so myself. I followed my friend Debbi's Promarker Tutorial. She's a Promarker Goddess. Have a look for yourself :-)

No DP this time, just some Core'dinations Cardstock. And the red frame is velvet (flock) paper I had leftover from making my wedding stationery 3ish years ago! The ribbon flower in the corner is cut using a Marianne Creatables die and the red lace is from my stash.

Here is her close up...

Sundays With Santa - Week 1

Happy New Year my Crafty Followers! I hope 2012 is everything you wish it to be!
Following my 1st ever sober Christmas and Hogmanay I'm feeling refreshed and raring to go :-)

Here is my 1st card of 2012. We are starting again at the Sundays with Santa Facebook Group. Week one's challenge was 'Anything Goes' just to break us all in gently. I hope you like it?

The image is a Sugar Nellie stamp called Snow Buddies and I've coloured it with my ProMarkers. I've added sparkle to their fluffy bits using Glamour Dust.

The DP is DCWV Rose Tinted Christmas. The snowflake in the corner is cut using a Marianne Creatables die and everything else is from my stash.

Here are a couple of close ups...

Happy Birthday Lisa

Its my friend (and work collegue) Lisa's birthday today and I set myself the daunting task of making a card for her.
Why daunting I hear you ask (lol). Well, not only is it traditional for all the other girls in the office to sign (and therefore secretly judge) the card, but also Lisa is a fellow cardmaker and a very talented one at that, so that always puts extra pressure on!

So anyway, here it is!

Its my 1st attempt at colouring black hair and although I'm happy with the shading, overall its still a little too grey for my liking. But I'll keep practicing!

The image is a Sugar Nellie stamp called Strike A Pose and I've coloured her in with my ProMarkers. The DP is MME quite contrary (free with a mag). The punched edge is done with a Fiskars punch and everything else is from my stash.

Snow Buddies

Time for another Christmas card. Its less than 19 weeks away now you know! Eek!

This time I have used my new stamp Snow Buddies by Sugar Nellie. I won it on the Sugar Nellies Facebook Group challenge for my Summer card (see further down) :D

On the Sundays With Santa Facebook Group it was Week 32: Snowmen, so this stamp was perfect!

I've coloured the image in with my ProMarkers and added Glamour Dust to the fluffy bits.
The DP is old Papermania I think. The 'lace' is made using my Martha Stewart punch. The snowflake is a Marianne Creatables die and everything else is from my stash.

21st Birthday Commisson Card

How gorgeous is this? I am soooo happy with it. Definately feeling like I've found my mojo again! lol Or it could be that the girls on the Sugar Nellies Facebook Group are incredibly inspiring and helpful (if a little nuts!)

I was asked to create a 21st birthday card by a work collegue. I really hope she likes it. She said it should be trendy and girly so I hope its not too flowery for her..

I also decorated the inside to match, partly because its a special card, but mainly because the front was so heavy it needed a bit of weight at the back for balance.

The photos are a bit dark again. I've tried diferent lighting, perhaps I need a new camera?

The image is a Sugar Nellie stamp called 5th Avenue and I've coloured her in with my ProMarkers and added Glamour Dust to make her dress sparkly.
The backing paper was a freebie from a magazine. The black 'lace' is made using a Fiskars punch and everything else is from my stash.

Sugar Nellie Summer

Happy Saturday everybody!

This is my entry for this weeks Sugar Nellie Facebook group challenge. This weeks challenge is Yellow/Orange- Summer Colours.
I realise its very similar to my last card, but I liked it sooo much I thought 'why not?' lol

I've used Sugar Nellie's Hippie Chick again and coloured her in with my ProMarkers. This is my 1st attempt at layering and blending different shades for her hair. I followed Debbi's Tutorial and I'm pretty happy with the way its turned out. Its a wee bit light so I'll try building up the colour a bit more next time.

This is also my 1st try of stamping on SU card. So far I think I like it. Theres certainly less bleeding when colouring in!
The DP are Papermania, not sure which collection. The crocheted lace is from KaiserCraft Devonshire Collection and everything else is from my stash.

Funky Hair

Looks like I'm on a roll now! lol

This is my entry for this weeks Sugar Nellie Facebook group challenge. Isn't she gorgeous? She is called Hippy Chick. This weeks challenge is Funky Hair. I'm very proud of this one and hope you like it too

The photos make her hair and the backing paper look sort of blue, but IRL they're purple.
The image is coloured in with my ProMarkers. The papers are Kaisercraft La-Di-Da Collection. The 'lace' is made using a Martha Stewart punch and everything else is from my stash.

My 1st Sugar Nellie

Wow! I can't believe its been over a year since I posted on here! Where does the time go???

Well life's had its ups and downs but I have still been making cards in between :D

Here is my latest creation using my 1st Sugar Nellie stamp. Isn't she gorgeous? She is called 5th Avenue from the Simply Sassy collection.

As you may know blue is not usually my thing, but it is this weeks challenge on the Sugar Nellie Facebook group and I thought I'd give it a go. I hope you like it?!

The photos have come out a bit dark so I might try to take better ones later. The image is coloured in with my ProMarkers. The papers are free printables, but I can't find where I downloaded them from sorry. The 'lace' is made using a Fiskars border punch and everything else is from my stash.
